Pablo Pinzon
I’m Pablo A. Pinzón, III, a dedicated law enforcement professional based in Edmond, Oklahoma, with more than two decades of experience investigating complex criminal cases, conducting undercover operations, and training the next generation of officers. My career has focused on narcotics enforcement, violent crime, gang activity, fugitive apprehension, and tactical instruction, with a strong emphasis on integrity, safety, and results.
My Story
I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Human Resources at the University of Oklahoma while serving as an Assistant Instructor at the Oklahoma Academy of Tactical Education. In this role, I support lead instructors by delivering hands-on training, maintaining a safe learning environment, monitoring student performance, and reinforcing professional standards and best practices.
Previously, I served as a Fugitive Apprehension Agent with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, where I investigated violations within the state prison system, interviewed inmates and gang members, responded to escapes, and helped locate and apprehend escapees. I also provided field training and instruction to fellow agents and officers.
Before that, I worked for 14 years as a District Attorney Investigator with the District Attorney’s Council for the State of Oklahoma. In that role I investigated state and federal violations involving narcotics, firearms, explosives, arson, gangs, and violent offenders. I led and participated in short- and long-term undercover operations—including Spanish-only assignments—targeting drug cartels, trafficking organizations, and outlaw motorcycle gangs. I wrote and executed state and federal search and arrest warrants, authored Title III wire applications, prepared complex case reports for prosecution, and testified as a government witness. I also dismantled methamphetamine labs and indoor/outdoor marijuana grows, conducted surveillance, and trained newer officers and agents.
Earlier in my career I served as a Deputy Sheriff, Jailer, and Dispatcher with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, handling patrol investigations, street-level narcotics and gang activity, booking and inmate care, and emergency dispatch.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Ethics from Mid-America Christian University. My certifications include CLEET Certified Peace Officer, CLEET Certified Instructor, Search and Rescue/Recovery Diver, and Armed Security Guard. I am a native Spanish speaker and have completed extensive specialized training in undercover operations, narcotics investigations, tactical shooting, high-risk traffic stops, interviews and interrogations, meth lab safety and dismantling, and related areas.
I am the recipient of the Department of Justice Gold Star Medal, awarded in Washington, D.C., for heroic deeds and courage displayed under extraordinary circumstances in the face of immediate peril to save the life of another. I also received the Street Warrior Award from the State of Oklahoma Gang Investigators Association.
Throughout my career I have remained committed to protecting communities, supporting successful prosecutions, and helping officers develop the skills, judgment, and professionalism required to do the job safely and effectively.
