Develop essential defensive pistol skills for reduced-light environments. ATAC Academy, the Oklahoma Academy for Tactical and Technical Education, offers professional low-light pistol training in low/no-light conditions.

In-person training with classroom sessions and supervised range time at a local shooting range

Certification:

Upon successful completion and demonstrated competency, students receive an official A-TAC White Light Defensive Operations Certificate of Completion.

Security officers, armed guards, private investigators, executive protection agents, responsible armed citizens, and students who want to improve their ability to safely operate a handgun in reduced-light defensive situations.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Valid form of ID

  • Attendance of Intro to White Light in Defensive Operations

  • Prior live-fire handgun experience

What to bring

  • Serviceable handgun

  • Proper holster that accommodates the firearm and weapon-mounted light, if used

  • 2–3 magazines

  • 150–200 rounds of ammunition

  • Eye and ear protection

  • Handheld flashlight, required

  • Weapon-mounted light, strongly recommended
